This Last Post Ceremony at the Australian War Memorial commemorates CSC No 327 C.B. Dawkins who graduated on 13 December 1922 and (as a major) was k.i.a in Malaya on 11 February 1942 just before the fall of Singapore.

C.B. Dawkins was the father of Judy Ingles, a DunSoc member living in Canberra, who is the author of the book ‘Duntroon to the Dardanelles’ based on the comprehensive diaries of her uncle CSC No 10 W.H. Dawkins (brother of C.B. Dawkins who graduated on 14 Aug 1914 and (as a lieutenant) was k.i.a at Gallipoli on 12 May 1915.

CSC No 10 W.H. Dawkins will be commemorated at a Last Post Ceremony on 21 April 2019.
