This Last Post Ceremony at the Australian War Memorial commemorates CSC No 10 W.H. Dawkins who graduated on 14 Aug 1914 and (as a lieutenant) was k.i.a at Gallipoli on 12 May 1915. His comprehensive diaries are the basis of the 1995 book ‘Duntroon to the Dardanelles’ written by his niece Judy Ingle who is a DunSoc member living in Canberra.

Another Last Post ceremony on 23 April 2019 will commemorate CSC No 327 C.B. Dawkins who graduated on 13 December 1922 and (as a major) was k.i.a in Malaya on 11 February 1942 just before the fall of Singapore. C.B. Dawkins was Judy Ingle’s father.
