About the book:
Duntroon: The Royal Military College of Australia 1911-2001 is a history of Australia's Royal Military College. This book traces the story of Duntroon from its beginnings as a pastoral property, to the establishment of the Royal Military College in 1911, and then follows the evolution of the College through to 2001. The book is divided into two distinct sections: one provides a chronological history of the college, while the other explores in detail specific themes, such as the interaction between cadets and the Canberra community, the hazing of cadets, and the achievements of College graduates. A nominal roll of all entrants to the college since 1911 is also provided, along with almost 200 photographs. Darren Moore has had full access to the archives of the Royal Military College, Duntroon, and has supplemented this with personal interviews with graduates drawn from various periods of the college's history. The product of almost ten years' work, Duntroon: The Royal Military College of Australia 1911-2001 captures the defining experiences of cadets throughout the College's ninety years.
